Eligible projects must qualify as Massachusetts Renewable Portfolio Standards (“RPS”) Class I generation units. Proposals are sought for the supply of approximately 1.5 percent of each company’s annual load, approximately 0.75 million MWh combined, under long-term power purchase agreements with a duration of 10-15 years. The participating utilities are Fitchburg Gas and Electric Light Company d/b/a Unitil, Massachusetts Electric Company and Nantucket Electric Company d/b/a National Grid, NSTAR Electric Company and Western Massachusetts Electric Company.
